WHAT TO EXPECT

God brings together a diverse group of people at Faith: nurses, artists, construction workers, teachers, job seekers, parents, singles, office workers, firefighters, coaches, people with special needs, musicians, students, retirees, accountants, and more. Yet as different as we are, we share in this: we have all disobeyed God, yet God graciously forgives us because of Jesus, and we live in thankfulness for God’s mercy. We join together to worship, serve, learn, pray and play together in the context of God’s boundless love. We hope you’ll join us!

What's the Service like?

Faith offers two Sunday morning Services:

8:00 a.m. - This Service features timeless hymns played on the organ and the Lutheran Service Book as the main source for the order of Service.

10:45 a.m. - This Service offers a variety of praise & worship songs, many by popular Christian artists, as well as timeless hymns. The music is led by Faith’s praise team. This Service uses the Lutheran order of Service format and is viewed through overhead video projectors.

Both of Faith’s Sunday morning Services focus on the Word of God and center our attention on Him. Regardless of the Service format, you will consistently find these vital elements: confession of our sins, assurance of forgiveness because of Jesus’ sacrifice for us, the proclamation of the Word of God, and the Lord’s Supper. Here is what we believe about the Lord’s Supper.

At 9:30 a.m. we offer Sunday School classes for all ages.

How will I fit in?

If you haven’t yet been with us on a Sunday morning, you may wonder what it will be like and how you will fit in. Rest assured that there are a variety of persons and personalities worshiping here at Faith Lutheran Church.

Sunday morning Services and Sunday school classes are opportunities to learn and grow in faith. You are not expected to “know the Bible” in order to attend our Services or Sunday school classes. In Sunday school, our Pastor and teachers are open to answering questions you may have, and you will not have to answer any questions you don’t feel comfortable answering.

What about kids?

Children are encouraged to attend and participate in Sunday morning Services so they can learn how God invites everyone to be served by him.

Sunday morning Services usually include either a puppet play by our “Faithful Friends” puppeteers or a brief children’s message designed specifically for the young ones in our midst.

We realize bringing younger children to worship can be a daunting task, so we have compiled a few tips on worshiping with children which we hope will be helpful to you.

Here are other opportunities for them to be involved.

How do people normally dress?

For Sunday morning Services most people dress “a step up” from jeans, but you may see people wearing shorts, jeans, three-piece suits or dresses. When you select your attire to honor God you can be comfortable that the results are acceptable to Him.
